The Hornsilver Campground is located within the boundaries of the White River National Forest at an elevation of 8,800 feet. This campground offers 12 individual camping areas. Fishing opportunities are available in Hornsilver Creek. The Holy Cross Wilderness can be accessed from Homestake Road just south of this campground.

Facilities: Restrooms, drinking water, picnic tables, and fire grills are provided at Hornsilver Campground.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted at Hornsilver Campground.

Best Time To Visit: Hornsilver Campground is open from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day.

Fees: An overnight camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible.

Rules: This campground is located within the White River National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Pets must be restrained or on a leash at all times while in developed recreation areas

Directions: To reach Hornsilver Campground from Vail, travel west on Interstate 70 approximately 5 miles to exit 171, the Minturn exit. Turn right (south) from the off-ramp onto US Highway 24. Follow US Highway 24 south approximately 10.5 miles from Interstate 70 to the turnoff on the left (east) side if the road. A picnic area is located directly across US Highway 24 from the campground.

To reach Hornsilver Campground from Leadville, travel north on U.S. Highway 24 to to the campground which is located on the east side in the road.
