The Gold Pan Campground is located within the boundaries of the White River National Forest at an elevation of 9,300 feet. This campground offers 11 individual camping sites in the Peninsula Recreation Area. The Dillon Reservoir provides fishing and boating opportunities. Hiking and mountain biking trails are nearby.

Facilities: Restrooms, picnic tables, drinking water, and fire grills are provided at Gold Pan Campground.

Reservations: Reservations for Gold Pan Campground are accepted.

Best Time To Visit: Gold Pan Campground is open from May through September.

Fees: An overnight camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: Gold Pan Campground is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Pets must be restrained or on a leash at all times while in developed recreation areas.

This campground is located within the White River National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To get to Gold Pan Campground from:

Vail: Proceed west on I-70 approximately 5 miles to exit 171, the Minturn exit. Turn right (south) from the off-ramp onto Highway 24. Follow Highway 24 south approximately 11.5 miles from I-70 to the turnoff on the right (west) side of the road. This is the start of Homestake road, number 703. Follow the road 7 miles to the campground.
