| Located within the Arkansas Headwaters State Recreation Area, Five Points Campground is easily accessible from Highway 50 and has a passageway under the bridge to the day use site on the north side of the highway. At this site visitors will find a "Watchable Wildlife" exhibit and an observation deck over the river.The Arkansas Headwaters State Recreation Area stretches for almost 150 miles along the Arkansas River, and offers abundant and outstanding opportunities for fishing, rafting, kayaking, picnicking, hiking, camping, mountain biking, and sightseeing among deep canyons, broad valleys and towering mountain peaks. The cities and towns along the river - Leadville, Buena Vista, Poncha Springs, Salida, Canon City, Florence and Pueblo - offer dining, lodging and hospitality.This campground offer 20 individual campsites, each complete with a tent pad, fire grill and table. All of these sites are designated for trailers/RV's. There are no hook-ups here. |
