| Facilities: Restrooms, drinking water, fire rings and picnic tables are provided at Early Settlers Campground. Reservations: Reservations are accepted for Early Settlers Campground. Best Time To Visit: Early Settlers Campground is open year-round. Fees: There are a variety of fees that can be incurred when entering this state area, from a daily walking pass all the way to an annual vehicle pass. Visitors should contact this State Recreation Area to find the plan best for them. Accessibility: Campsites 100, 101, 104, and 119 are all accessible. A handicap fishing pier is located at the nearby Oak Point Campground. The coin operated showers are also accessible. The Visitor Center within this State Park is also accessible. Rules: Since rules may vary depending on which park guests choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any other rules that may apply. Directions: To get to Early Settlers Campground from Grand Junction: Drive west on I-70 west from Grand Junction to Loma Exit, then north onto Colorado Highway 139 for six miles to Q Road. Go west on Q road for 1.2 miles, then turn north onto 11.8 Road for one mile to the park entrance. |
