| Dumont Campground borders on the Continental Divide and sits on top of the Park Range, offering views of several Colorado mountain ranges. The area offers fly fishing in the lake and streams, access to hiking, backpacking, and mountain biking on the many nearby dirt roads and trails. Bird watchers, wildflower enthusiasts and budding astronomers will find this place a paradise.This campground is located within the boundaries of the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. The elevation of this campground is 9,500 feet. Maximum combined vehicle/trailer length is 40 feet, and 22 sites are available. Dumont Lake is restricted to electric motors or hand propelled boats only. |
