Dam Trail offers hikers, bikers and horseback riders over 15 miles of trails. The Dam Trail connects Rock Canyon, Southshore Marina, Northshore Marina and the campground. This paved trail is handicap accessible, and rated as "easy".


Facilities: The Lake Pueblo State Park offers over 400 campsites with restrooms, picnic tables, drinking water, and fire rings.

Best Time To Visit: Dam Trail is open year-round.

Fees: There are a variety of fees that can be incurred when entering this state area, from a daily walking pass all the way to an annual vehicle pass. Visitors should contact this State Park to find the plan best for them.

Accessibility: This paved trail is handicap accessible.

Rules: A variety of rules can apply when visiting a State Park. Please contact the Park Manager for more information.

Pets that are on a leash no longer than 6 feet are permitted.

Directions: To get to Dam Trail from Pueblo: Take I-25 to Pueblo, then US 50 west, for four miles. Turn south on Pueblo Boulevard and go four miles to Thatcher Avenue. Turn west and drive six miles to the park.

From Canyon City Take US-50 east. Turn south on Pueblo Boulevard and go four miles to Thatcher Avenue. Turn west and drive six miles to the park.

Reservations: Dam Trail's campgrounds fill to capacity nearly every weekend between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Reservations are a must on holiday weekends and recommended any summer weekend.
