Reservations: Reservations are accepted at Crystal Reservoir. Best Time To Visit: Crystal Reservoir area is open year-round. Fees: Admission and camping fees are charged. Accessibility: There are accessible visitor centers at Elk Creek, Lake Fork, and Cimarron. Accessible comfort stations, camping sites at Stevens Creek, Elk Creek, Lake Fork, and Cimarron. Accessible overlooks at Dillon Pinnacles, Hermits Rest. Rules: There are a variety of rules to consider when visiting this recreation area. Please contact the visitor center for more information. Directions: To get to Crystal Reservoir from Montrose and Gunnison: Access Highway 50 which runs the length of the recreation area between Montrose and Gunnison, Colorado (approximately 200 miles SW of Denver) and is easily accessed from CO Hwy 149, and CO Hwy 92. |
