| The Crow Valley Recreation Area is located just north of Briggsdale on County Road 77. The campground and picnic areas are situated in a large grove of cottonwood and elm trees, surrounded by grassland. There are ten sites for family camping, three for group camping, a group picnic area, and an education center located here. All campsites are suitable for RV camping.Most of the sites are shaded by cottonwood and elm trees. Three of the family campsites are double sites. One of these has a raised tent pad for disabled access. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is thirty five feet.The roads through the campground are gravel. There are six water hydrants (three have disabled access) and four restrooms (two have disable access). Reservations are accepted and mandatory for the group campsites, group picnic area and education center.The picnic area has a sheltered barbecue pit, electricity, and 32 picnic tables in a grove of cottonwood trees and will accommodate up to 200 people. A volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and a ballfield are nearby (bring your own equipment). The group campsites will handle up to 30 people per site. The education center has a large cooking grill and picnic tables for up to 100 people.There are several disabled access gravel trails throughout the area offering wildlife viewing and short hikes. There is an old farm implement museum exhibiting horse drawn farm equipment for visitors enjoyment. |
