Cross Creek Trail is mostly used by people camping at Cross Creek Campground during the summer months. In the fall it is used by big game hunters. The end of the trail offers some beautiful views of Del Norte Peak, Willow Park and the surrounding area.
This trail measures 4.0 miles one-way and is located within the Rio Grande National Forest. This trail is rated as "moderate" and is sees "moderate" usage.


Facilities: Restrooms, drinking water, picnic tables, fire grills, and 11 individual campsites are provided at Cross Creek Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Cross Creek Trail is typically open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

Fees: There are no fees charged to hike this trail.

Directions: To get to Cross Creek Trail from Alamosa: Take US-160 To South Fork. From South Fork, travel 1 1/2 mile west from South Fork on US Highway 160. Turn left at Beaver Creek Road and drive about 7 miles to the Cross Creek Campground. The trail goes east from the campground.

From Pagosa Springs: Travel north on US-160 to South Fork. From South Fork, travel 1 1/2 mile west from South Fork on US Highway 160. Turn left at Beaver Creek Road and drive about 7 miles to the Cross Creek Campground. The trail goes east from the campground.
