The Cow Creek South Campground is located within the boundaries of the White River National Forest at an elevation of 8,000 feet. This campground offers 10 individual camping sites adjacent to the Green Mountain Reservoir. Boating, fishing, windsurfing, sailing, and canoeing are popular here. Maximum RV/trailers size is 40 feet.

Facilities: Restrooms are provided. Drinking water is NOT provided.

Reservations: Reservations are not accepted at this campground.

Best Time To Visit: This campground is open from mid-May through late-October.

Fees: An overnight camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Pets must be restrained or on a leash at all times while in developed recreation areas.

Directions: From Vail, travel 29 miles east on I-70 to Silverthorne. From Silverthorne, go 20 miles north on Colorado Highway 9. The campground is located on the west side, or left, of the highway.
