| Facilities: Restrooms, drinking water, and picnic areas are provided at Chatfield State Park. Reservations: Reservations are accepted at Chatfield State Park. Best Time To Visit: Chatfield State Park is open year-round. Fees: There are a variety of fees that can be incurred when entering this state area, from a daily walking pass all the way to an annual vehicle pass. Visitors should contact this State Recreation Area to find the plan best for them. Accessibility: A majority of the restrooms around the park are ADA accessible. There is also a Handicap Pier and an accessible trail to a riverside fishing platform. Rules: Length of Stay - There is a 28 day maximum stay allowed per Colorado park during any 45 day period. One camping unit with up to 6 people is allowed per campsite. A violation of this regulation may result in the visitor being required to purchase an additional campsite (if available), or the reservation may be terminated and the appropriate fees refunded. The allowable combinations are one passenger vehicle and two tents; or one motorized vehicle towing a camping trailer and one tent (if space allows). If space permits, one additional passenger vehicle and/or motorcycle may be parked at a campsite. No Show Policy - If a customer does not occupy their site within 24 hours of their check in time and have not notified the park, ALL FEES ARE NONREFUNDABLE and the site will be made available for resale.Minors - A parent or guardian must accompany youths under 18 years of age. The person whose name appears on the reservation is responsible for the condition of the site. The Park Manager may approve the stay of a youth.Since rules may vary depending on which park visitors choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any other rules that may apply.Directions: To get to Chatfield State Park from Denver, take Wadsworth Boulevard (Colorado Highway 121) south past C-470, and turn left into the Park at the Deer Creek entrance. As an alternate route, take Santa Fe Boulevard south to Titan Road, turn west on Titan Road to Roxborough Park Road and turn north to the Plum Creek entrance. | |
