Burro Bridge Campground is located in a grove of spruce, fir, and aspen. Burro Bridge Campground is a good base camp for trips into the Lizard Head Wilderness. West Dolores River and Navajo Lake hiking trail are located nearby. Deer and elk can be seen in the area.
There are 12 campsites on a sloping hillside above the river. A few trees give shade, and there are tent sites. Parking pads are wide enough to accommodate RVs. The maximum spur length is 40 feet.
A nearby corral is next to two campsites, for those camping with stock for an additional per-day fee. Two bays can accommodate 2 horses a day.
