Well-known for quality water-based recreation, Bonny Lake State Park is a pleasant combination of modern facilities and large expanses of prairie and riparian open space.
An oasis on the plains, Bonny Lake State Park offers a welcomed change from the rolling prairie and grasslands that surround the park. Nestled in the broad valley of the South Fork of the Republican River, at an elevation of 3,700 feet, Bonny Lake State Park has colorful vistas in the fall and a variety of year-round recreational opportunities. Enjoy camping, hunting, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing at Bonny Lake State Park.
Fishing is well-known and excellent on this 1,900 surface-acre reservoir. Walleye, northern pike and a variety of bass are just some of the fish that inhabit the reservoir. With seasonably warm waters, dependable winds and sandy beaches, Bonny Lake State Park is the perfect destination for swimmers, water-skiers and windsurfers.

Facilities: Bonny Lake State Park provides 190 individual campsites, catering to all types of campers. Restrooms, picnic tables and fire grills are provided.

Fees: There are a variety of fees that can be occurred when entering this state area, from a daily walking pass all the way to an annual vehicle pass.

Rules: There is a 28 day maximum stay allowed per Colorado park during any 45 day period. One camping unit with up to 6 people is allowed per campsite

Since rules may vary depending on which park you choose to visit, please check with the Park Manager for any other rules that may apply.

Directions: To reach Bonny Lake State Park from Limon, travel east on Interstate 70 to Burlington. Take Interstate 70 east to Burlington, then 23 miles north on U.S. highway 385. Turn east on County Road 2 (3 1\2 miles to gate entrance) or 3 (1 1\2 miles to gate entrance.)
