Bodo State Wildlife Area lies in a basin just south of Durango. Bodo provides many different hunting opportunities. Basin Creek flows east through the property to the Animas River.

Facilities: There are no facilities available at Bodo State Wildlife Area.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to use Bodo State Wildlife Area.

Best Time To Visit: Bodo State Wildlife Area is open year-round.

Fees: There are no fees to enter a State Wildlife Refuge. There are fees to obtain fishing and hunting licenses. Please contact the Denver office for further information.

Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Users of wildlife areas are reminded to check current hunting, fishing, and land use regulations when planning to use an area for any purpose.

Discharging firearms or bows is prohibited except while hunting.

Directions: To reach Bodo State Wildlife Area from Durango, travel 1 mile south on US Highway 550/160 to County Road 211, then west (right) 1/4 mile to eastern boundary sign.
