Fees: There are no fees to enter a State Wildlife Refuge. There are fees to obtain fishing and hunting licenses. Please contact the Denver office for further information. Travel on State Highway 133 to Paonia. From Paonia, go about five miles southeast on 0.50 drive (that is NOT a typo) to Forest Road 710, then follow road through the canyon to the reservoir. To reach Beaver Reservoir State Wildlife Area from Crested Butte, travel west on Forest Road 12 to State Highway 133. On State Highway 133, travel to Paonia. From Paonia, go about five miles southeast on 0.50 drive (that is NOT a typo) to Forest Road 710, then follow road through the canyon to the reservoir. |
