Barr Lake is ideal for non-motorized activities and motorboats with 10 horsepower or less. This allows the park to offer a peaceful, relaxing haven for visitors to enjoy sailing and canoeing in calm waters. Barr Lake is a day-use park only and does not offer camping.
Channel catfish, smallmouth and largemouth bass, rainbow trout, walleye, bluegill, wiper and tiger muskie are among the species Colorado Division of Wildlife has stocked at Barr Lake.
