Atwood State Wildlife Area is located in Logan County at the elevation of 3,980 feet. It contains 180 acres of land. Hiking is popular here, as well as wildlife observation, hunting, camping, and photography.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to visit Atwood State Wildlife Refuge.

Directions: To get to Atwood State Wildlife Area from Lamar: Start out on US-287, turn right CO-71. Turn right again on I-76. From Atwood, go 3 miles southwest on Highway 6 to County Road 29.5, then 0.5 miles south to property.
