Alma State Wildlife Area is located in Park County at the elevation of 10,000 feet. It contains over 240 acres of grasslands and a pond system.

Facilities: Restrooms and a few campsites are provided at Alma State Wildlife Area.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to visit Alma State Wildlife Area.

Best Time To Visit: Alma State Wildlife Area is open year-round.

Fees: There are no fees to enter a State Wildlife Refuge. There are fees to obtain fishing and hunting licenses. Please contact the Denver office for further information.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: Users of wildlife areas are reminded to check current hunting, fishing, trapping and land use regulations when planning to use an area for any purpose.

Directions: To get to Alma State Wildlife Area from Leadville: Start out going south on Highway 24, turn left on nine, to Alma. From Alma, go 1.5 miles north on Highway 9 to County Road 4, then 0.25 miles northwest to property.
