The Adams Fork Creek flows from the headwaters below Summit Peak on the Continental Divide to join the Conejos River near Platoro Reservoir. This creek enters the South San Juan Wilderness. Access in the wilderness on Adams Fork Trail 713 is restricted to foot and horse travel. Rainbow trout are common in the creek, and are stocked seasonally.

Facilities: No facilities are provided at Adams Fork Creek at this time.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to use Adams Fork Creek.

Best Time To Visit: Access to the creek is seasonal. The roads are usually open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, depending on conditions.

Fees: No fees are charged to use Adams Fork Creek.

Accessibility: This area is not handicapped-accessible.

Rules: A valid fishing license is required. Visitors must practice "Leave No Trace" techniques.

Directions: To get to Adams Fork Creek from Alamosa, go west on US-285 to Antonito. Travel west from Antonito on Highway 17. Access is via Forest Road 250 and 247. Motorized vehicles are restricted to the first 1.5 miles from the trailhead on 247.
