Lake Maloya Trail

Lake Maloya Trail begins behind the pay station on the west side of the dam. It follows a dirt road along the lake, narrowing as it enters Segerstrom Canyon. A bridge will take visitors over Segerstrom Creek as the trail continues its course around the water's edge. The trail winds around two grassy secluded coves, where it is possible to see waterfowl, deer skunks, and occasionally, an elk. The trail ends at the Lake Dorothey parking lot in Colorado. Visitors may return to the dam along the road (1.5 miles) or go back the way they came.
This 2.8 mile trail is rated "easy-moderate". There is no elevation change.
