| Facilities: Lake Alice Campground provides restrooms, group shelters, and showers. The Sugarite Canyon State Park offers one RV dump station, two boat ramps, one courtesy dock, a public pay phone, and 18 miles of trails. Reservations: Reservations are needed at the Lake Alice Campground. Best Time To Visit: Lake Alice Campground is open year-round. Fees: Day usage fees and overnight camping fees do apply. Accessibility: The restrooms, showers, group shelter, picnic tables, boat ramps, and boat docks are all handicapped accessible. Rules: Drive only on designated roadways and obey posted speed limits. Camp only in the designated areas. Keep pets on leashes. Do not feed the wildlife. Be aware that vandalizing, defacing, or removing antiquities, minerals, plants or wildlife is absolutely prohibited. Camping is limited to 21 days. Directions: To get to Lake Alice Campground from Trinidad travel south on I-25 to Raton. From Raton, take I-25 exit 452 to NM 72. Travel east about 7 miles to the junction of NM 526. Take the left fork that goes uphill. Continue on to the visitor's center and beyond to access the lakes. | |
