| Devils Postpile National Monument is located in eastern California and varies greatly in elevation. The main attraction at this park is an amazing geological formation that formed by hot lava cooling and cracking some 900,000 years ago to form basalt columns 40 to 60 feet high resembling a giant pipe organ. |
