Subway Cave Picnic Area is located next to Hat Creek. This campground is also along the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway.
This area has activities available such as, for hiking, camping, picnicking, wildlife observation. There are lava tubes, dormant and extinct volcanoes, lava flows and fault lines. For recreational activities on the lake, it offers fishing, swimming and boating.
