Rocky Cabin Campground is a 8 site campground at an elevation of 4,000 feet. This campground is located 24 miles northwest of Paskenta. This campground is also along the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway.
This area has activities available such as, for hiking, camping, picnicking, wildlife observation. There are lava tubes, dormant and extinct volcanoes, lava flows and fault lines. For recreational activities on the lake, it offers fishing, swimming and boating.


Facilities: Rocky Campground has no running water. It offers fore rings and picnic tables.

Best Time To Visit: Rocky Campground is open from late April to October.

Fees: This campground charges a fee.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: Bury waste 12" into the ground.

Directions: To get to Rocky Campground from Susanville, take Hwy 36. From Highway 36 continue down until the road merges into 89 and Old Station rd. Drive 4 miles then take a right, which will lead to the campground.
