Cave Campground has 46 sites at an elevation of 4,300. The campground is located along the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway. This area has activities available such as, for fishing, hiking, camping, picnicking, wildlife observation and natural history are many. There are lava tubes, dormant and extinct volcanoes, lava flows and fault lines.

Directions: To get to Cave Campground from Susanville take Hwy 34 south to Hwy 44. From Hwy 44, turn left onto 89. Continue 5 miles down this road, then turn left, which will lead to the campground.
