Picnic tables, fire rings, and grills are located throughout the campground.A dump station is located within the grounds and showers are available in the neighboring Fashoda Campground. Best Time To Visit: Sunset Campground is open from Memorial Day weekend through September. These dates may be affected by snowfall. Fees: Camping fees are charged. Accessibility: Unknown Rules: Maximum length of stay is 14 days out of every 30 days. Family pets must be kept on leashes at all times. Campfire restrictions may be put into affect depending on conditions. Maximum length of vehicle is 50 feet. Bears and other wildlife are in the area. Please keep campsites clean, food properly stored, and dumpsters locked for the safety of the campers and the wildlife.Directions: To reach Sunset Campground from Sacramento, travel east on Interstate 50 for about 60 miles to Ice House Road (21 miles east of Placerville). Turn left onto Ice House Road and travel north for approximately 14.5 miles. Turn left at the turn-off for Fashoda/Sunset Campgrounds.
