The Town of Springerville is at the heart of the growing southwest.Located in northeastern Arizona, Springerville was originally established in 1879, growing around Henry Springer's trading post, the town was incorporated in 1948. Along with the neighboring town of Eagar, both communities reside in the Round Valley.

As the "Gateway to Arizona's White Mountains," Springerville is minutes from some of the most popular outdoor recreation areas in Arizona. With easy access to major interstates, Springerville is conveniently located to allow day trips to some of the most famous locations in the southwest.
Located just minutes from Springerville is Lyman Lake State Park. The park, between St. Johns and Springerville, is 1,180-acres encompassing the shoreline of the man-made reservoir, which is one of the largest lakes in northeastern Arizona. The Big Lake Recreation Area is home to one of the largest newly developed recreation facilities, featuring improved campgrounds, RV hookups, and shower facilities.
During the winter months, the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest is also home to one of the largest winter recreation areas in the southwest, where cross-country skiing trails, snowmobile rentals, and sledding areas are open to the public. Springerville is also home to Casa Malpais, a nationally recognized archeological ruin.
