 | | | The Arizona Trail, the dream of Flagstaff teacher and hiking enthusiast Dale Shewalter, will eventually be a 790 mile non-motorized trail that traverses the State from Mexico to Utah. The Arizona Trail is intended to be a primitive, long distance trail that highlights the State's topographic, biologic, historic, and cultural diversity. The Arizona Trail Association is a membership organization, seeking active supporters of the Arizona Trail, coordinating volunteers, and providing other essential services to the Arizona Trail project. The mission of the Arizona Trail Association, as adopted by the Board of Directors is:| "to coordinate the planning, development, management, and promotion of the Arizona Trail for the recreational and educational experiences of non-motorized trail users." |
