Glen Canyon National Recreation Area - Hiking In National Recreation Areas
With Lake Powell as the main attraction of this area there is unparalleled opportunities for water-based and backcountry recreation. The recreation area stretches for hundreds of miles from Lees Ferry in Arizona to the Orange Cliffs of southern Utah, encompassing scenic vistas, geologic wonders, and a panorama of human history. The park offers opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming, backcountry hiking and four-wheel drive trips.

Hualapai Trail - Long Trails (9+ miles)
Elevation from rim to river is 4000 ft, along the 8.0 mile trail. This trail is maintained and well marked.

Kaibab National Forest - Hiking In National Forests
Bordering both the north and south rims of the Grand Canyon, the 1.6 million acres of the Kaibab has the distinction of being divided by one of Nature's greatest attractions. There are a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities available.

North Kiabab Trail - Long Trails (9+ miles)
Elevation from rim to river is 5,841 ft, along the 14.5 mile trail. This trail is maintained and well marked.
