Lower Tonto Creek Campground This campground has 17 single sites on the East Verde River, set in ponderosa pine, aspen and pinions. This campground is for the primitive camper. Parker Canyon Lake This medium sized lake is located in rolling hill country surrounded by distant mountains. It offers a number of recreational possibilities for those willing to drive the long but maintained dirt roads that lead to it. Reynolds Creek Group Campground This campground is surrounded by ponderosa pine and sycamore. This campground is for those who enjoy camping in a semi-developed area. Rose Creek Campground This campground has five single sites. This campground is for the primitive camper. Third Crossing Campground This campground is surrounded by pine trees. This campground is for those who enjoy camping in a semi-developed area. Timber Camp Campground This campground is set in an open area of scrub oak and pinon trees. It has 2 single sites and is great for groups. This campground is for those who like to camp in a semi-developed area. Elevations range from 3,500 feet in the Upper Sonoran desert life zone covered by prickly pear and yucca to nearly 11,500 feet in the Alpine life zone where you can see beautiful stands of fir and spruce interwoven with lush green meadows.
