Museum of Northern Arizona
This museum was established in 1928 by Flagstaff citizens. It features natural history specimens from the Colorado Plateau, and offers collections, exhibits, educational programs, publications, and research projects. Tours are available.

The Meteor Crater Museum on the Rim
50,000 years ago, a huge iron-nickel meteorite, hurtling at about 40,000 miles per hour, struck the rocky plain of Northern Arizona with an explosive force greater than 20 million tons of TNT.

Lowell Observatory was built in 1894 by Dr. Percival Lowell to better observe Mars. The observatory features historic instruments, and offers tours, education programs, and night observation times.
