Alamo Lake State Park offers classic Sonoran Desert scenery, and is known as an oasis for anglers and nature lovers. Principally a flood control reservoir, the park is located on the Bill Williams River about 30 miles before it enters the Colorado River. Although its water level fluctuates sharply, the lake is full of large-mouth bass, walleye, and catfish.

Facilities: Fire rings are provided at Alamo Lake State Park.

Fees: Entrance and camping fees apply.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: Camping is only permitted in designated sites. Littering is unlawful. Keep pets on a leash. All fires must be contained in provided fire rings. Obey hunting and fishing laws. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Drive only on designated roads. OHV's must be licensed and street legal.

Directions: To reach the Alamo Lake State Park from Wickenburg, travel west on U.S. Highway to the town of Wenden. Once in Wenden take the road north to the Alamo Lake State Park.
