The 23 acres of Woodland Lake at 6,800 feet elevation is in the middle of Pinetop, about a quarter-mile southwest of Arizona 260. A few years ago, the area was improved as a community park and fishing lake.
The lake, which is a popular lure for families, is home to rainbow trout, largemouth bass, channel catfish, and bluegill. The lake is for day use only, with campgrounds nearby.


Facilities: There are restrooms, picnic tables, ramadas, and grills available at Woodland Lake. The paved roads and parking lots make access easy. The nearest town for supplies is Pinetop, with lodging and restaurants.

Best Time To Visit: Woodland Lake freezes during the winter.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Boats with single electric motors only. Live bait fishing is prohibited.

Directions: To reach Woodland Lake from Show Low: travel northeast on AZ-260. Woodland is in the middle of Pinetop, about a quarter-mile southwest of Arizona 260.
