The West Fork Campground has upstream sites that have more of a deep forest character, while downstream sites tend to be open and grassy. There are hiking trails are near the campground. Three-sided Adirondack shelters built by the CCC give this area a quaint historic atmosphere.


Facilities: No facilities are available at West Fork Campground. Supplies and groceries can be found in Alpine.

Best Time To Visit: West Fork Campground is open May through October.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Pets must be restrained or on a leash. This campground is located within the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To get to West Fork Campground from Springerville: Start out going Northwest on US-60, turn left on AZ-260. Turn left on Water Canyon Road, Turn Right onto NF 90. Turn left on AZ-261, Turn Right onto NF 24. Turn Right onto NF 25, turn right on NF-72.
