Lodging and restaurants are available in near-by Alpine. Best Time To Visit: Blue River freezes during the winter. Fees: No fees are charged. Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible. Rules: Watch for and respect private property signs. Live Bait Fishing prohibited. Directions: To reach Blue River from Springerville, take US Hwy 191 to Alpine. From Alpine take US Hwy 180 to Forest Road 281 and south on Forest Road 567, between Alpine and Hannagan Meadow, east to Blue Crossing. The road follows the river south.
