Valentine Trail is a difficult 0.7-mile trail, climbing 380 feet to 7,120 feet elevation. This trail is an old logging road that connects with other roads. Pay attention to trail markers. Visitors can hike or ride directly from Valentine Ridge Campground following Forest Road 188.

Best Time To Visit: Valentine Trail is normally open year round.

Directions: To reach Valentine Trail from Payson: Travel 32 miles east on State Route #260. Turn right on Forest Road #512 (Young Road) travel 6 miles to Forest Road #188, then 2 miles to Trailhead.
