Tortilla Campground is near Canyon Lake, adjacent to historic Tortilla Flat, and has views of Tortilla Creek and Wilderness. The Campground is closed in the summer due to heat. Firewood may be gathered. Fishing for bass, walleye, trout, and catfish is popular on the lake. Black bear, mountain lion, coyote, great blue heron, and eagles are some common wildlife in the area.


Facilities: Grills and drinking water is available at Tortilla Campground.

Best Time To Visit: Tortilla Campground is open April through October.

Fees: A camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Maximum length of stay is 14 days. This campground is located within the Tonto National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To get to Tortilla Campground from Apache Junction go Northeast on state highway 88 for 15 miles to the campground.
