Directions: To get to Tonto Creek travel 17 miles east of Payson on State Highway 260. Just east of Mile Marker 269 (at Kohl's Ranch) turn left (north) on Forest Road 289. Travel 4 miles to the parking area just outside the entrance to the fish hatchery. Forest Road 289 parallels Tonto Creek most of the way to the hatchery. Park in the lot.
