The rustic, Stray Horse Campground> is set among large pine and oak, and located six miles below the Mogollon Rim. The campground provides a cool shady site for camping. Stray Horse is the head for the Highline Trail and Raspberry Trail.
This campground is for the primitive camper.


Facilities: Vault toilets are available at Stray Horse Campground.

Best Time To Visit: Stray Horse Campground's best times are April through November.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible.

Rules: The maximum length of stay is 14 days. This campground is located within the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To reach Strayhorse Campground from Springerville: Start out going east on US-60, turn right on US-180. Turn left on AZ-260, turn right on US-191 travel for approximately 57 miles.
