| Facilities: No facilities are available at South Kiabab Trail. Facilities can be found on the South Rim before departure. Best Time To Visit: South Kiabab Trail is open year-round, but snowfall may make the hike more difficult. Fees: An entrance fee will be collected to enter this National Forest. Accessibility: This trail is not accessible. Rules: Over 250 people each year are rescued from hiking the Grand Canyon. A majority of these people tried to hike to the Colorado River and back in the same day. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS STUNT! Directions: To reach South Kiabab Trail from the South Entrance Station of the Grand Canyon, drive northward on South Entrance Road to East Rim Drive. Turn right and drive one mile to the access road for Yaki Point. Turn left and drive to the well-marked trailhead.
