Orange Peel Campground is located at the mouth of Tonto Creek along the shoreline of Roosevelt Lake. The shoreline can be used to launch small boats. Outstanding views of the Sierra Ancha and Mazatzal mountains can be had at this campground. The Tonto Creek riparian area is within walking distance of the campground and it is very rich in plant and animal diversity.

This campground has no facilities of any or designated camping units. Its size depends on the water level of the lake; when the lake is low the camping space is large and when the lake is high the camping space is small. This is a very rustic campground.
