Directions: To reach Reavis Gap Trail Roger Trough Trailhead from Apache Junction, travel east on U.S. Highway 60 to the Queen Valley road turn-off. Turn left and follow this paved road for 2 miles to where the Hewitt Station Road 357 branches off to the right (and turns to gravel). Follow this road for 3 miles to the JF Road 172 turn-off, turn left and follow this road 8 miles to the junction with the Roger Trough Road 172A. (Note: These roads are sometimes washed out; drive with care!). Bear right and follow this very rough road approximately 3 miles to the trailhead. 4WD vehicles are required. Take Reavis Valley Trail north to its intersection with Reavis Gap Trail. To reach Reavis Gap Trail Campaign Trailhead from Apache Junction, travel northeast on State Highway 88 to State Highway 188. Take State Highway 188 southeast to the Cross P Ranch Road 449 turn-off. Turn left and follow this road 2 miles, turn left onto Forest Road 449A and drive 8 miles to the trailhead. Take Campaign Trail south to its intersection with Reavis Gap Trail. | |
