Peralta Trail is one of the more heavily used trails in the State of Arizona. It is often down to bed-rock and provides difficult footing.
This trail is 6.2 miles long and has a difficult rating. Hiking and horseback riding are permitted on this trail, but horseback riding is not recommended.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Peralta Trail. Gas, food, and lodging can be found in Apache Junction.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Peralta Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Peralta Trail is open year round.

Fees: No fee is charged.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: Neither motorized or mechanized transport are permitted on this trail. The maximum group size is 15; the maximum amount of saddle or pack animals of any kind is 15 per group. Horses are not recommended for this trail.

Directions: To reach Peralta Trail from Apache Junction, travel east on U.S. Highway 60 (8.5 miles past Apache Junction) to the Peralta Road 77 turnoff. The trailhead is 8 miles north on this road. Horse-trailers parking are on the left just inside the forest boundary 0.1 miles before reaching the main trailhead.
