Palo Verde Picnic Area is located on the shore of Canyon Lake and features a paved boat launch. Canyon Lake is an excellent place to go fishing or just cruise around in a boat.
There are 8 picnic sites with tables at Palo Verde Picnic Area. Drinking water is not available at this area. Glass containers are not permitted in this area.

Facilities: Palo Verde Picnic Area provides vault toilets, picnic tables, and a boat ramp. Gas, food, and lodging can be found in Apache Junction or the Canyon Lake Marina.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Palo Verde Picnic Area.

Best Time To Visit: Palo Verde Picnic Area is open year round.

Fees: A day use fee is charged.

Accessibility: This site has 4 wheelchair accessible parking spots and wheelchair accessible vault toilets.

Rules: This area is for day use only. Glass containers are prohibited.

Directions: To reach Palo Verde Picnic Area from Apache Junction, travel northeast on State Highway 88. After crossing the first bridge at the lake , watch for th Palo Verde sign and turn left into the site.
