Hieroglyphic Trail is an easy hike up to an area with Indian petroglyphs in the Superstition Wilderness Area. It begins at the forest boundary.
This trail is 1.1 miles long and has an easy rating. Hiking and horseback riding are permitted on this trail.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Hieroglyphic Trail. Gas, food, and lodging can be found in Apache Junction.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Hieroglyphic Trail.

Rules: Neither motorized or mechanized transport are permitted on this trail. The maximum group size is 15; the maximum amount of saddle or pack animals of any kind is 15 per group.

Directions: To reach Hieroglyphic Trail from Apache Junction, travel southeast on U.S. Highway 60 to Kings Ranch Road. Take Kings Ranch Road northeast to Mohican Road. Go north on Mohican Road to Valley View Drive. Travel northwest on Valley View Drive to Cloudview Avenue. The trail starts just inside the forest and can only be accessed through private land.
