Dutchman's Trail meanders through the Superstition Wilderness Area, intersecting many other trails. It is generally in good condition, but parts are heavily used.
This trail is 18.2 miles long and has an easy rating. Hiking and horseback riding are tolerable means by which to negotiate this trail.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Dutchman's Trail. Gas, food, and lodging can be found in Apache Junction.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Dutchman's Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Dutchman's Trail is open year round.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: Neither motorized or mechanized transport are permitted on this trail. The maximum group size is 15; the maximum amount of saddle or pack animals of any kind is 15 per group.

Directions: To reach Dutchman's Trail Peralta Trailhead from Apache Junction, travel east on U.S. Highway 60 (8.5 miles past Apache Junction) to the Peralta Road 77 turnoff. The trailhead is 8 miles north on this road. Horse-trailers parking are on the left just inside the forest boundary 0.1 miles before reaching the main trailhead.

To reach Dutchman's Trail First Water Trailhead from Apache Junction, travel 3.5 miles north on State Highway 88 to Forest Road 78 (near Mile Marker 200). Turn right and follow this road 3 miles. Horse-trailers parking are on the left 0.5 miles before reaching the main trailhead.
