Then take State Highway 188 for 2 miles east to Forest Road 173. This road is on the south side of highway and just west of a power substation. To reach Cottonwood Trail Forest Road 83 Terminus from Apache Junction, travel northeast on State Highway 88 to Forest Road 83 and drive approximately 3.3 miles to the trail connection.
