Boulder Canyon Trail is rough but interesting, providing several scenic vistas in the Superstition Wilderness Area. Parts are located adjacent to Boulder Creek, and the stream crossings are subject to flooding.
This trail is 7.3 miles long and has a moderate rating. Hiking and horseback riding are permitted on this trail, but horseback riding is not recommended due to loose rocks.

Facilities: Boulder Canyon Trail is located near the Canyon Lake Marina, which has restrooms. Gas, food, and lodging can be found in Apache Junction.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted Boulder Canyon Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Boulder Canyon Trail is open year round.

Fees: No fee is charged.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: Neither motorized or mechanized transport are permitted on this trail. The maximum group size is 15; the maximum amount of saddle or pack animals of any kind is 15 per group. Horses are not recommended on this trail.

Directions: To reach Boulder Canyon Trail from Apache Junction, travel northeast on State Highway 88 for 15 miles to the Canyon Lake Marina. Their parking lot may be utilized, with the trail access located on the south side of the highway.
