Rock Creek Trail is located in the Mazatzal Wilderness Area. It is very scenic but also has very steep grades.
This trail is 3.7 miles long and has a most difficult rating. Hiking and horseback riding are permitted on this trail, but horseback riding is not recommended.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Rock Creek Trail. Gas food and lodging can be found in Payson.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted at Rock Creek Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Rock Creek Trail is open spring through fall, depending on weather.

Fees: No fee is charged.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: Neither motorized or mechanized transport are permitted on this trail. The maximum group size is 15; the maximum amount of saddle or pack animals of any kind is 15 per group.

Directions: To reach Rock Creek Trail from Payson, travel south on State Highway 87 to Forest Road 442. Take Forest Road 442 to the trailhead.
