Railroad Tunnel Trail is branch of the Colonel Devin Trail that goes over the Mogollon Rim east of the main branch. Due to the fact that this trail is extremely steep and has loose footing, it is not recommended for horses or mountain bikes.
This trail is .25 mile long and has a most difficult rating. Hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking are permitted on this trail.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Railroad Tunnel Trail. Lodging, food, and gas can be found in Payson.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted for Railroad Tunnel Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Railroad Tunnel Trail is open spring through fall, depending on weather.

Fees: No fee is charged.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: No motorized vehicles are permitted on this trail. This trail is not recommended for use by horseback riders and mountain bikers.

Directions: To reach Railroad Tunnel Trail from Payson, travel north on State Highway 87 to Forest Road 300. Take Forest Road 300 east 12 miles to the north trailhead which is located on the south side of the road.
